Welcome to Bedford Youth Lacrosse

We play all players equally with the goal of teaching the sport and providing a fun, safe and meaningful experience. We police ourselves in the effort to create equal teams within the program, teach all positions, and provide an outlet for kids that has not been swept up in the pressure filled, win-at-all-cost mania that is too present in today's youth sports.

If we are successful, we hope to create a life long passion in our players and volunteers for the great sport of Lacrosse.

BYL Fall SPEED Lacrosse

BYL Fall SPEED Lacrosse

SPEED Lacrosse is a lifetime sport sharing many characteristics with Field Lacrosse, Box Lacrosse, and Basketball.  It is played 3v3 on a 40 x 20 yard court on turf, grass, or sand.  There is no equipment needed other than a standard lacrosse stick (defensive sticks and goalie sticks are not allowed) and mouthguard.  The emphasis is on finesse over physicality.  It is a great sport for ALL ages and frequently most fun when played co-ed.  Click here for the full SPEED Lacrosse Rule Book.

BYL will be running a six-week SPEED Lacrosse program for Fall 2019.  The program is open to boys and girls in Grades 1-8 and beginners are welcome.  Depending on the number of participants, coaches will create teams considering age, gender, and ability level.  A minimum of two (2) coaches and six (6) players will be required for each session to occur.  Please use the following SignUpGenius to enroll in the SPEED Lacrosse sessions:

MBYLL Press Release:

MBYLL Northwest Region has worked hard over the past 8 months to bring to fruition a special offering to our players. If you are receiving this email, you will be able to take advantage of this offering.  Native Americans brought us the sport of Lacrosse that was given to them by the creator.  The Iroquois Nationals embody the continued development of Lacrosse and it's deeper meaning for their people.  The youth development organization for the Native American "Iroquois Nationals" is called "Road Warriors."  They have produced players such as the Thompson brothers and Tahoka Nanticoke, among many others.  It is not a stretch to say they produce some of the best players in the world!  We have formed a partnership with the Road Warriors to have them come and teach "true" box lacrosse to our MBYLL players.  This is happening in conjunction with Mass Box Lacrosse in Wesley at the new Boston Sports Institute in Wellesley, Mass.  This starts October 1st and is for 3/4 (PeeWee), 5/6 (Bantam), and 7/8 (Novice) graders in MBYLL.  Check out the flyer that is attached to sign up and get more details.  See the schedule page for schedule info and also look at their home page and the social media feeds about them.  Look at their coaching staff and also their alumni.  They are a non profit organization (like MBYLL) that serves to assist native american kids with education.

Special Note: The first 60 MBYLL Northwest Players to sign up will receive a $250 dollar subsidy (paid for by MBYLL) to make their overall cost $550.  Put in the code MBYLLNW to receive $250 dollars off.  This code is ONLY for MBYLL Northwest town players and NOT to be shared outside of our region.  Other MBYLL region town players can sign up, but can not receive the subsidy ($800 dollars).  The program will be capped at 120 players.  We hope that this is the first of many collaborative efforts with "Road Warriors!"
